I'm not sure what your background is, I notice you've been tootin' your own horn pretty good in some other comments I've seen, i.e.
"Obviously you aren't aware that I have some highly acclaimed video work filming some of the best up and coming junior riders in Australia."
According to you it sounds like you know alot about what you're talking about, but to me it sounds similar to that scene in "Good Will Hunting" when that student at the bar tries to impress the girl with the stuff he just learned in class the day before. It's like someone who just learned what a video pan is instantly complaining about every locked off shots because following the rider is way cooler! It's not that I don't agree that focus pulls are cool, but variety is better.
Mix it up homie! Your videos will look better as a result. I would also recommend toning down the ego a bit if you want some real respect as a filmer. You don't go around telling people how good you are, you earn it. Good luck.
Definitely doesn't look rookie to have something come in and out of a focal plane. I'm pretty sure these dudes have a pretty good handle on what they're doing, and also if you look, there are quite a few dialled focus pulls throughout the video. I also just watched a few of your videos to see how it should be done and found quite a few locked focus shots... kind of a strange comment :S
Ahh cool. Skipped video of the month for May?
Cool. That first one looks like some wrists are about to call it quits.
It's a little late for the photo of the month for May isn't it though? I still haven't seen the May video of the month either.
